TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Check in is available between 2pm – 10pm, 7 days a week. Please inform the hotel at the earliest convenience should you be arriving out with these hours to ensure that our staff are available. Check ins after midnight are liable to surcharge. Please note if you are late to check in there may be a charge involved.
Reception is only manned between the hours of 9am – 10pm, any enquiries out with these hours can be made via email. We will look to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
CREDIT CARD CHARGES
A credit card is required to confirm all reservations and a valid card must be supplied at check- in for all arrivals. We have the right to charge your card the full amount on day of arrival. We accept all major credit cards except American Express.
100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking subject to a £2 charge for all debit and credit cards.
All guests are required to settle all outstanding balances the evening before they leave. The hotel provides a 24/7 reception allowing you deal with the outstanding charges. If balances are not settled prior to leaving the hotel they will be settled using your valid credit card left for your deposit.
We have a secure private car park equipped with CCTV around the back of the hotel which costs guests £5.00 per day if there is space. Large box vans will be charged at £10 per day. We can also provide Glasgow City Council parking vouchers for the surrounding streets at a cost of £2.00 per voucher; each voucher allowing for either a morning, afternoon or evening of parking.
Please note, due to limited parking space, parking spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. No pre booking is available.
Please note our car park is only suitable for small or medium sized cars/vans or motor bike/scooters. No large vans or trucks. Our car park can take up to 4 vehicles only.
There may be times where you have blocked in other hotel guests. If this is the case we ask for your corporation in moving your vehicle when asked. Although every reasonable care is taken the Hotel cannot take any responsibility regarding guest’s cars.
Dogs are permitted in a limited selection of rooms, at the discretion of Management. Please telephone to discuss availability. Dogs are charged at £10 per dog per night. Owners are advised that under no circumstances may they leave the dogs unattended in the room and any damage will be chargeable.
If dogs are in a bedroom, the room will not be serviced as our insurers will not cover this. Any staff complaints as nul and void. If you wish for your room to be serviced, dogs have to accompany their masters off the premises.
Dogs or any animal cannot enter the breakfast room or in public areas where food is served.
Towels can be exchanged at reception.
VAT is included in all prices.
Towels are provided for in-hotel use.
Breakfast times are subject to occasional variation and during our busiest times there may be a wait for a table. When booking directly with us via our website, email or telephone, the guest is entitled to receive a full cooked breakfast or our continental breakfast. When booking via a 3rd party online travel agent the guest is only entitled to our continental breakfast but has the option to upgrade to our full cooked breakfast for an additional £3 per person.
We can cater for all food allergy types including Gluten free. Please specify your requirements at time of booking as well as on arrival to ensure everything is in place.
No allowances can be made for rooms not being occupied for the full period of the booking or for meals or any other supplements not taken.
The proprietor cannot be held responsible for cash or valuables unless they are deposited in the Hotel Reception and a receipt obtained.
The Hotel is up to date with its fire precautions and has been granted a fire certificate.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Bookings commence at 2:00pm on day of arrival and rooms need to be vacated by 11:00am on departure day. Check-in must be made before 10pm (Unless otherwise pre-arranged with a member of hotel management in writing). Early check-in and late check-out may be arranged at an extra charge. This arrangement can only be made close to the date of the stay and subject to availability.
The costs of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds by any of your guests must be reimbursed to the Hotel by the Client. We have the right to charge the card used to make the booking to cover such costs.
Special offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, and if conditions are not met the standard tariff will apply. This includes our free night give away offer which includes a maximum of 2 people for stays during weekdays and is subject to availability.
Behaviour of guests and their visitors should not be excessive or rowdy, and must not cause embarrassment to fellow guests. We reserve the right to recover any compensation payment as a result of your actions, or a member of your party or visiting friends. This includes damage to hotel buildings, fixtures and fittings.
Please inform us before arrival if you are travelling in a group of six of more. We reserve the right to refuse unauthorized groups. Large groups may be required to provide an additional deposit at check-in, returnable on departure if unaffected. Should there be any inappropriate behaviour by the group after check-in we reserve the right to discontinue the reservation without refund.
Kelvin operate a strict no smoking policy. If a guest smokes in their room a charge of £50 will be made to their credit/debit card in order to fumigate the room(s), at the discretion of the hotel management.
All parties including stag and hen parties are strictly forbidden at the hotel & Apartments. The hotel/Apartments is for accommodation purposes only. If any such parties are identified, all monies will be confiscated and booking will not be honoured.
USE OF YOUR DATA
By booking with us you give the Kelvin Hotel/Apartments full permission to use your contact information including email and telephone for promotional, marketing and correspondent purposes. All communications from us will come with an opt out option allowing yourself to be removed from further communications at any time.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the date of arrival otherwise your card will be charged the full amount.
We offer rooms that are located on the ground floor. If you require a room with disability access, please give the hotel 24 hours prior notice in order for the hotel to accommodate for this.
Bookings must be made by a person over the age of 18. At least one guest staying in each room must be over 18 years of age. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation without refund when a guest cannot provide proof of age.
Luggage Hold Service
The Kelvin Hotel are able to hold your luggage at the hotel until 5pm on the day of checkout free of charge. If you wish to keep luggage at the hotel after this time there will be a £5 per item per day charge applied.
Kelvin Loyalty Card
The loyalty card free night is only valid if the card holder has checked in at the hotel 4 times. They will then be able to claim 1 free night on their 5th visit to the hotel.
In order for offer to be valid the first booking can be made using any channel including direct bookings and bookings made via 3rd party websites, however all remaining bookings must be made directly via the Kelvin Hotel website, telephone or email in order for offer to apply.
The loyalty card remains valid for 12 months from date of first stamp.
CLAIMING YOUR FREE NIGHT
In order to claim your free night please contact the hotel via telephone or email prior to booking free night stating that you now qualify for a free night. The lowest value of your previous nights will be credited towards your free night. If free night rate exceeds the amount of your credit then the difference between the two rates will need to be settled upon check in.
Free nights can only be claimed from the months running November to March and subject to availability. Please note Christmas day and new year will be excluded in this period.
